Strategies for Complex Organizations

February 6, 2015

Davies Consulting has added Beth Bartholomew as partner and leader of the firm’s newly expanded Regulatory/Strategy line of business. The Davies Consulting team works with gas and electric utilities to strengthen the links between their operational, business strategy, and regulatory affairs organizations. Beth’s decades of experience in business strategy consulting will inform the firm’s philosophy for bridging between utility operations and corporate teams.

A brief background of her experience: Beth originally joined Davies Consulting in 1992, leaving as a Vice President in 2000 to take a leadership role with a Fortune 500 information technology (IT) company.  In April 2013, she rejoined the firm as a Principal.  She also has held leadership roles with several leading public sector consultancies.  As the client services lead with those companies, she supported C-level client executives in planning and executing a variety of high-profile initiatives, including:

  • Creating the first strategic plan for a 900-member, worldwide IT organization;
  • Drafting national emergency communications plans;
  • Developing first responder communication protocols and standards; and
  • Co-authoring the 2002 E-Government Strategy and implementing 24 Presidential E-government initiatives.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University, where she was a Baker Scholar, and a Master of Business Administration from The Darden School, University of Virginia.
